Managing Dental Anxiety

Our Approach

  1. The Living Room. When you step into our office, it feels like stepping into your friend’s living room. Take a seat, relax, and know you are in good hands.

  2. We are relationship driven. We are here to get to know you, make you feel seen and heard, and provide you with exceptional care. Dr. Rascius will not treat you until you feel safe, seen, and supported.

  3. Minimal design in the treatment rooms. We have removed all unnecessary equipment so that the dental chair is easy to get in AND out of. We don’t want you to feel trapped!

  4. Distraction! Put on your favorite show or movie to watch while we treat you. There are TVs in all of the treatment rooms. You might not even want to get out of the chair when your appointment is over.

  5. The Wallaby Blanket. It is specifically designed to feel like a hug. With pressure point technology, you will feel your nervous system relax as if you’re being embraced in a warm hug. Read more about it here.

  6. Heat and massage. One of our chairs has heat and massage function which helps signal to the nervous system that you are safe, and can relax.

  7. Oral sedation. If all of the above just don’t cut it, there are pharmacological alternatives to help manage anxiety, and Dr. Rascius can walk you through those options. .
